Has anyone been to Cambodia? Just need a little itinerary. Places to go (ideally with kids), places to avoid, to eat etc
Cambodians eat sticky rice and mango as staple diet. Try that. Halal is an issue eat vegetarian or sea food. which is available. Siam reap is next to a massive lake. Take a tour of that and enjoy sunset. I took a tour operator and went to ankor Wat. That’s a huge area with lot of temples. Food is included in the tour and a day is enough to do that Tour.
A) Siem Reap and Angkor Wat are interesting for a day or two. B) Phnom Penh and the Killing fields the same. Cambodia isn’t as nice or as safe as Vietnam. We did A) as a fly in fly out trip from Bangkok, Thailand and B) on the way back from Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
Visited this June. Both Siem reap and Phnom Penh are worth visiting. I spent 2 days at both cities. In Siem reap the major attraction is Angkor watt and other tombs. Do sunrise tour + short circuit on day 1 and long circuit on day 2. In Siem reap several halal options available near Jami mosque.
In Phnom Penh killing fields and prison can be done in a day. Second day can be downtown covering Royal Palace and some temples. There is a big n beautiful mosque in Phnom Penh. Several halal options nearby.
Wow Halal options in Cambodia? Never thought it existed there . thanks for sharing
Yes, several options in both cities, near central mosque. Not all Muslims are immigrants. There is a local Cambodian muslim tribe.
