Aa can I get some info for Canada. We are planning Calgary and then driving to Vancouver in Aug. Any advice re car rental and where to stay would be great. Things to do with kids would be a bonus!

In terms of car rental, try the usual sites e.g. booking.com, costco, Priceline, or the individual sites like Avis, Hertz etc. In terms of hotels, you may have left it late for August, as the popular areas may be full.

You can stay in Calgary or Canmore & visit Banff as a day trip.
There'll be no parking in Banff National Park areas.

My cousin lives in Calgary, I can ask him. I know BANF is very good but it can’t be covered in one day? It’s a big area. Westjet from London or Edinburgh offers the best price tickets.
