What is the best way to move around in Beijing and Guangzhou? How easy is to get taxis in china, are they expensive?
Metro is very affordable and covers all major destinations. For taxis , use apps like Didi (China’s Uber) for better rates. Other taxis are available easily but one thing to remember is that between 5:00pm to 6:30pm no taxi will pick you. Because that is the time for changing shifts and taxis will be rushing back to main center. If a taxi stop then immediately open the front door and sit in the taxi and show your face to the camera on the right upper corner. Your image will immediately transfer to main taxi center and taxi driver will take you to your destination. Because at the taxi center manager will ask him/her that when customer was in the taxi why didn’t you took him to his destination. And he should have a solid reason for this. E.g there was less gas or some problem in taxi etc
Quite curious to visit China someday. I have realized that we don't have much info about travelling in China . must be amazing, Is it safe for Muslims as I heard problems in Xingjiang?
It is a friendly country and I have been living here for almost 16 years, I go to mosque regularly and have halal food, apart from that region there is no problem elsewhere.
