We have booked tickets for Tiblisi for mid-December, I have recently heard of some protests, anyone there right now or aware of situation?
There are protests going on at the moment in Tiblisi so not safe to go right now. Better change the ticket as the situation doesn't look promising. You don't want to be shut in a hotel.
I spoke to 2 ppl yesterday... The protests are centered around the city center in Tbilisi.. everywhere else it's ok and business as usual. What i was told is to avoid... rustaveli avenue... from liberty square to hero’s monument. chavchavedaz avenue in vake..The rest are fine
They protest in front of their parliament. It is like 400 m from Freedom Square. Most of the tourist spots are on the other side of the Freedom square. And also the protests are fixed by time, like from 7 pm to 12 am.
