Planning on visiting Jordan with family (8 of us with one under 12) soon so was wondering if any anyone can tell me?

1) do I need a visa as a British Qatar resident?

2) is it worth buying the Jordan pass for the 70 - 80jod ... not sure if the attractions are expensive...

you can get visa on arrival as british national at airport,

Jordan pass is best as it works out cheaper,  or else only entry ticket for petra is 50 JD.

The Jordan Pass is ideal if you plan to stay in Jordan for at least 3 days and planning to go to petra as it’s the most expensive single attraction. Plus you want to visit multiple cultural and historical sites.

If you’re in Jordan for a very short visit and only plan to see one or two attractions (not including Petra), buying individual tickets might be more cost-effective.

I think jordan pass still works economical even if you are staying for a short period because your visa fee of (I think 40 JD) is already included in that pass so I will highly recommend getting it unless you are having a layover of less than 36 hours.
