If your budget allows it, highly recommend the Datai in Langkawi. We went ~5 months ago and was great. It’s not cheap but no complaints from me.

There is also Bayview or rasa sayang on Ferringhi beach in Penang and Berjaya in Langkawi

If staying in langkawi can do a daytrip to nearby island: pulau tuba, beautiful. Can also visit koh lipe(thailand) from langkawi

My hotel was on the beach itself in langkawi called Holiday villas... Don't know if it is still there. Small island lots of water sports and islands hopping.. Jungle trekking to do.
