I have visited Lahore a few times and really loved the food scene—each trip has been an unforgettable adventure!

Haveli Restaurant (Fort Road, Old City) – This one stood out for its stunning rooftop view of the Badshahi Mosque, especially beautiful in the evenings. With both indoor and open-air seating, it’s a great place to enjoy traditional Lahori and Punjabi dishes while soaking in the heritage of the Old City.

Monal Restaurant (Gulberg, Liberty Chowk) – I visited with family for dinner and loved the experience. It is buffet-style with a huge variety Pakistani, Chinese, Continental, BBQ, and desserts. Ideal for family gatherings or special occasions. It can get very busy, so I recommend going a bit early to beat the rush.

Butt Karahi (Lakshmi Chowk) – No trip to Lahore feels complete without visiting this place — an authentic street-style karahi adventure. The karahi is cooked fresh in front of you, making it a real Lahori experience.

Bundu Khan (Various branches in Lahore) – I have been a few times, and the BBQ dishes are always on point. The grilled meats are packed with flavour. It is a nice mix of street-food taste with a family-friendly, polished setting.

Waris Nihari (Lakshmi Chowk area) – As a big Nihari fan, this place truly delivered. It is slow-cooked, deeply flavourful, and authentic Lahori style. Highly recommended if you want a true Nihari experience.

Lahore Food Guide

Gawalmandi Food Street – Specialises in authentic Lahori Street food and traditional Punjabi delicacies.

Fort Road Food Street – Focuses on traditional Lahori and Mughlai cuisine. It’s more tourist-friendly and slightly upscale compared to Gawalmandi.

Anarkali Food Street – Packed with small food stalls, old-school snack vendors, and sweet shops. I highly recommend trying the chana chaat and fried snacks especially Pani Puri (Gol Gappy).

Lakshmi Chowk Food Street – A meat lover’s paradise, bustling and lively, especially in the evenings.
