Ahh reminded me of my stay in Tashkent some 30 years ago (spent 6 months there)
i loved uzbek pilau and shashlik

- The best currency to exchange is in USD to get the best rate.
- Alternatively, you can exchange your GBP or other currencies in local banks to get the best rate
- You can also use cards like Monzo, etc where debit cards are accepted.

Book 1st class tickets to have a comfortable journey especially with kids. Train service is reliable and usually on time. Ensure you go to the station at least 50 minutes before departure.

- buy an Uzbek sim from the airport

Day 1: Friday, 25th October
- Fly to Uzbekistan
- Accommodation:

Day 2: Saturday, 26th October
- Arrive in Tashkent at 01:20 AM
- Rest and acclimatize
- Morning: Visit Khast Imam Complex (see the Quran of Caliph Uthman)
- Afternoon: Tour Tashkent Metro (explore its beautifully decorated stations)
- Evening: Stroll through Broadway Street for cafes, street artists, and souvenirs
Day 3: Sunday, 27th October
- Tashkent to Samarkand
- Morning: Visit the Tashkent Tower for panoramic views
- Late Morning: Get the train from Tashkent to Samarkand (Approx. 3-4 hours)
- Check-out from AirBnB in Tashkent
- Check-in at accommodation in Samarkand
- Afternoon: Explore Registan Square and Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum, visit Imam Bukhari complex
- Evening: Visit Siab Bazaar for local food and souvenirs
Day 4: Monday, 28th October
- Explore Samarkand
- Morning: Visit Shakhi Zinda Necropolis (famous for its beautiful mausoleums)
- Explore the ruins of the Bibi-Khanym Mosque
- Afternoon: Visit the Ulugh Beg Observatory (discover the history of astronomy)
- Evening: Explore Afrosiab Museum (dedicated to the ancient history of Samarkand)

- Full Day in Samarkand

- Samarkand to Bukhara
- Morning: Take a train from Samarkand to Bukhara (Approx. 2 hours)
- Check-out from Samarkand
- Afternoon: Explore Poi Kalyan Complex (with its famous minaret)
- Evening: Walk around the historic Lyab-i-Hauz area (lakeside and tea houses)
Day 7: Thursday, 31st October
- Explore Bukhara
- Morning: Visit the Ark Fortress, the city's oldest structure
- Explore the Samanid Mausoleum
- Afternoon: Visit Bolo Haouz Mosque (known for its wooden pillars and painted ceilings)
- Visit Magoki-Attori Mosque, one of the oldest surviving mosques in Central Asia
- Explore the Char Minar, a picturesque mosque with four towers
- Visit the 3 historical places outside Bukhara - hire a local taxi driver
Day 8: Friday, 1st November
- Bukhara to Tashkent
- Morning: Free time in Bukhara for last-minute sightseeing or shopping
- Afternoon: Take a train from Bukhara to Tashkent (Approx. 7 hours)
- Evening: Arrive in Tashkent and head to the airport (no accommodation booked)
