Pakistan is home to five of the world’s 14 tallest peaks, including K2, vast glaciers, mighty rivers, waterfalls and heritage sites that stretch from Mohenjo Daro to Lahore Fort. Yet its stories are too often sidelined in global travel media.

The global halal travel market is worth over $300 billion, with more than 176 million Muslim travellers looking for destinations that resonate with their culture and faith. Pakistan has all the beauty, history, and diversity, but it needs storytellers who do it justice

Enter Anam Hussain, journalist and a world class travel writer whose work has been featured in Condé Nast and other top international publications. She saw the gap in how Pakistan was portrayed, and decided to fix it. That led her to found Capra Falconeri Traveller Pakistan Magazine (UK), a magazine committed to showing Pakistan as more than a place on a map, showing its true beauty.

We recently wrote about Anam’s journey for Halal Travel Pal. It’s a powerful reminder that narrative can shape perception, and that when stories are told well, places flourish in ways that go beyond tourism.
