  • The Spring and Autumn months are the best times to visit Southern Spain.
  • If you can only go in the summer months keep in mind that locals usually stay in during the hot hours between noon and 17h00. Get the most out of your experience by going in the late afternoon.
  • Book your Alhambra tickets in advance. Tickets are not available for purchase on the day of your visit.
  • Learn more with a guided tour. It will be worth it. I recommend Sister Mariam Roncero Moreno: ronceromoreno@gmail.com (+34 663 52 24 19) . She gives individual, family and small group tours in Arabic, English, Italian and Spanish.
  • Take your own halal snacks and food for an outdoor picnic.
  • Be on time for your booking to the Nasrid Palaces and always have your passport ready. The Alhambra checks IDs more times than airports.
  • Wear comfortable shoes and pack sunscreen.
