Do you know this building in Madina?

It’s the Waqf Uthman Hotel, a living example of how one good deed can last forever.

A waqf simply means giving something for the sake of Allah so that people can keep using it, and the person who gave it keeps getting reward, even after they pass away.

More than 1,400 years ago, Hazrat Uthman ibn Affan (RA), the third Caliph, bought a well in Madina so everyone could drink water freely. He also bought the land around it, which grew into large date orchards. Those orchards are still there today. The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs looks after them, and the income is used for charity. Part of that income built this hotel in Madina. The profits continue to support people in need, while the reward keeps going to Hazrat Uthman (RA)

This is the blessing of waqf , one act of kindness that keeps growing and helping people for centuries.

Hazrat Uthman (RA) also made waqf in Makkah, buying properties that supported the poor and travelers. His vision reminds us how giving for Allah can benefit generations.

Next time you see this hotel in Madina, remember it isn’t just a building. It’s a reminder that sincere charity never ends.

What waqf would you like to leave behind?
