I work with Tawaf Global, a UK Hajj and Umrah agency, and UK travellers do use the visit visa for Umrah. Please check the current guidance before booking though, as Makkah enntry is usually restricted in the weeks before Hajj. May can falll within those restrictions, so allow a good margin before the Hajj period.
