Near Topkapi, a recommended option is Şehzade Cağ Kebap, about a 15‑minute walk with some inclines. Around Taksim Square to Galata Tower, there are many eateries along the main street; most are fine for casual meals. The restaurant directly adjacent to Galata Tower is considered average. If visiting Büyükada (Princes’ Islands), some travellers recommend skipping the giant tourist ice cream cones and instead trying the ice cream cart at Anadolu Club entrance for better quality.
