Our Malaysia Series continues
In Part One, Muhammad Mansha walked us through his candid KL experience. Heres his five days honest review of Langkawi
Real trip. Real traveller. Straight from our community.
“I flew AirAsia from KL. Booked through the app, checked in online, smooth from start to finish.
I stayed at Holiday Villa Resort and Beach Club. Honestly,I don’t think it was a good value for money. If I went back, I’d stay on the other side of the island that is quieter and away from the beaches.
For getting around, taxis are cheap and genuinely convenient. You can hire one for a full day for around 180 to 200 Malaysian Ringgit. The driver stays with you all day and happily guides you through the tourist spots. Really good value.
Day 1
Travel day from KL, checked in, and kept it simple. Relaxed at the resort, had a spa session, caught the fire show at Pantai Cenang beach in the evening, then dinner.
Day 2
A full day out. Sky Bridge, cable car, Oriental Village, the 3D museum, zip line, and Seven Wells Waterfall. Ended the day with fish and chips at Scarborough. Long day but a good one.
Day 3
The Kilim Karst forest boat trip was something else. Mangroves, wildlife, calm water. Overall good experience with the family. In the evening we went to the Dream Forest Light Garden, which is well worth adding on.
Day 4
Early morning quad bike ride through the villages. Cool air, kampung roads, local life all around you. Do this one. It’s the side of Langkawi most people miss. Later in the day we visited the Adventure Park and went horse riding.
Day 5
We hired a car and just drove. No plan, no itinerary. Far corners of the island, quieter spots, real nature. It turned out to be one of the best days of the whole trip”.
Langkawi isn’t just a beach destination. It’s an island with layers, and it rewards the people who take the time to actually explore it.
